CRC832 and the Cologne Children University win the "Mitgefühlt" competition of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research
Together with the CRC832, a group of 10 children of the Cologne Children University volunteered to
write a children's book about cancer and the tumour microenvironment. 5 friends want to understand what is happening with their cancer-sick friend and set off for an adventure in his body discovering what the tumour microenvironment is all about.
With this book idea the team took part in the competition "Mitgefühlt", organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Science Year "Research for our health" and was one out of 6 excellent ideas that won the competition.

Johann-Georg-Zimmemann prize 2010 goes to PD Dr. Christian Reinhardt
On January 26, 2011 Christian Reinhardt was awarded a highly renouned prize for his outstanding impact in the cancer research field. His nnovative research in the optimization of chemotherapeutic specificity using the concept of synthetic lethality was rewarded by the scientific board of the Johann-Georg-Zimmermann prize committee.
Christian Reinhardt joined the CRC832 in 2010 and is currently leading project A21.
